Wushu (Martial Arts) Camp

 

A Chinese Martial Arts Camp designed to teach the art and the sport of Chinese martial arts to all foreigners, from novice to advanced level.   The camp, organized by and held at Beijing Sports University of China, will highlight Long Fist, Basic Forms, Sparring, selected Shaolin Fist, selected XingYi Fist and selected Chinese weapon techniques, taught by some of China’s top Wushu instructors. Evening classes on Conversational Chinese are also included.

In addition to Wushu classes by China’s top instructors, students will also enjoy guided tours of famous and historical sites of China, including The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, etc.  Those joining the 22 day camp will also visit the famous Shaolin Temple in Loyang City, and take Wushu classes in Loyang City.

The Beijing Sports University of China is one of the leading universities in China, where many of China's top athletes, coaches and leaders in China's sports organizations hail from.  Wushu or Chinese Martial Arts is one of the specialties of the University, taught at their Wushu College.

 

Classes & Dormitory on Campus

Classes are held on campus.  Students will be housed two per room in a dormitory designated for foreign students on the campus of the University.  Each room is equipped with its own bathroom.  Male and female students will be segregated in separate rooms. Chinese and western meals will be served, with some specialty Chinese meals designed to provide students with a taste of genuine Chinese culture and a balanced diet for a healthy mind and body.

Payment in full is due at time of booking.  Trans-Pacific air is not included.   China Discoveries can assist with Chinese Visa process and Trans-Pacific airline tickets. Inter-China air cancellations are non-refundable. If cancellation is received after full payment has been made, 50% of tour costs is non refundable.  If cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to scheduled departure, 100% of tour costs and deposits are non-refundable.  Any bookings received within 30 days of departure will be subject to $100 per reservation rush fee.
